I’m a Missouri boy, born, bred & lifelong. (If you don’t count 4 or 5 wayward years in Southern Illinois.)
I started working at a hometown radio station in Cape Girardeau while I was in high school, and have managed to avoid getting a real job ever since. I joke about it making me feel old, but I’m to the very gratifying point in my career that I now meet people who have listened to me in the car with their parents, and now they listen in the car with their kids. I can’t think of a better compliment.
Outside of work I spend a lot of time on a bicycle, on Missouri's beautiful trails and country roads. As is inevitable at my age (50-ish), my health has become more of a focus for me. You won’t have to listen long to hear me trying to convince others about the benefits of a good bike ride.
The life of Jerry Seinfeld has fascinated me for several years, James Bond has fascinated me for several decades, and I am an unapologetic fan of the animated shows of Seth MacFarlane. (Family Guy, American Dad & The Cleveland Show) If I had kids I’m not sure I’d let them watch, but I love them!

Chris Kennedy

Chris Kennedy was born and raised in Moline, Illinois, a small town located on the Mississippi River. His career in radio began in an unexpected way, while he was working at a video rental store in the 80s. During this time, a local disc jockey recognized Chris's potential and encouraged him to pursue a career in radio. He listened and while in college for broadcasting, Chris got a part-time job working overnight at the very radio station he had listened to as a kid while getting ready for school! Nearly four decades later, he still works in radio doing his ultimate dream job, albeit with better hours.
For Chris, radio is not just a profession, it's a platform to give back and make a positive impact on the lives of those around him. Chris has organized numerous radiothons, participated in marathons to fund childhood cancer research, and even completed a 465-mile run, helping raise over $1 million.
Personally, Chris has 3 adult children. He lives in Springfield, Missouri with his "Mighty Chihuahua.” He enjoys exploring the food scene in Springfield, having discovered some amazing restaurants that the area has to offer. Though Chris is most comfortable behind a microphone, you'll often find him with a camera capturing the beauty around him.
