From Dallas, Mike Roberts knew in the 2nd grade that he wanted to be a radio DJ. His first radio job came through a series of unfortunate events when he was only 17 years old (fortunate, though, for Mike!). He’d been shadowing an announcer at a station in Dallas when that announcer inadvertently got locked out of the building. Mike filled in for him for about an hour before he was able to get back in…whereon the Program Director immediately fired the haphazard announcer and gave Mike his first DJ job on the spot. Since then, Mike has grown and refined his talent over the years and has been recognized in Springfield as the top-rated air personality across all dayparts.
Mike loves to make people feel good, laugh or just smile because of something he says. He especially enjoys getting to know the listeners, each one having their own unique life story. Passionate also about science, Mike admits that another dream he’s always had is to one day go into space. He enjoys scuba diving, and music - country music, definitely - but his collection of music favorites also includes classical, jazz, and adult contemporary.

Steve Kraus is a Missouri native, born and raised in St. Louis and a proud alum of Missouri State. He got bit by the radio bug at a very young age, as it was ALWAYS on at his home growing up - whether it was news/talk or music - it seemed mysterious and exciting to Steve. In his senior year of high school, he made the decision to pursue radio as a career.
He loves the fact that every day is different - a blank slate on which to decide how to interact with listeners, helping them feel good about their day. Steve takes his responsibility seriously...but himself not so much. After more than 28 years in radio, Steve enjoys how radio keeps him on his toes and says he can't imagine doing anything else. And he does it very well! In 2020, Steve was named Broadcaster of the Year by the Kansas Association of Broadcasters.
When he's not behind the microphone, Steve and his wife enjoy traveling around the United States. As history buffs, they agree that recent trips to Boston and Washington DC have been favorites - although he says that security didn't find his movie quotes from "National Treasure" very funny. Steve has been collecting baseball cards for the last 40 years and is a gamer, though not for tournament play.
