3 Ways To Make Your Ads Pop, Sizzle, and Stand Out!

Three-Ways-You-Can-Make-Your-Ads-Pop-Sizzle-and-Stand-Out.

Two million. That’s the number of commercials the average American will have seen and heard by the time they’re 65. So how in the world do you make your ads pop, sizzle and stand out in this mess of a world we call marketing? Here are three simple ways to make sure you’re reaching the right people and generating more traffic for your business!

Grab People’s Attention Quickly

According to a study done by Microsoft, the average human being has an attention span of no more than eight seconds. The study also showed that our attention spans decrease by 88 percent every year!

So, how do you combat this? Grab people’s attention quickly.

In a radio spot, one of the best ways to do this is to begin with a short, powerful sentence. Don’t overwhelm the listener with stats and numbers at the beginning, but rather take them on a story-telling journey that makes them wonder where they’ll end up. Make your magazine ads jump off the page by using striking images that leave readers wanting to learn more. Make sure your headlines are clean, yet clever. Be bold in your digital and online ads and offer content and information that can’t be found anywhere else.

Tell A Story

Two things happen when you tell someone a good story. One, they remember it. And when they tell their friends and family that same story, they’ll be able to recall some of the specific details. Second, people find ways to relate to that story.

This is what makes storytelling in your advertising so powerful. Once people can remember you AND relate to you, they’ll do business with you. Don’t just stick to facts, statistics, and numbers. Great leaders throughout history have been using storytelling as a powerful tool for thousands of years!

Tap Into Emotion

We’ve discussed the power of telling a story in your marketing campaigns, but why is storytelling so important? Because you’re making people feel.

The best ads will leave your potential customers laughing, crying, curious, surprised, scared, or better yet, convinced to do business with you.

Motivational speaker and iconic salesman Zig Ziglar once said, “People don’t buy for logical reasons. They buy for emotional reasons.” Studies show that emotionally charged events create powerful memories in people’s minds. This causes consumers to remember you first when they need your specific product or service!

Everything works together. When you’re telling a story, make it powerful enough for someone to feel, and make it matter enough for someone to take action and use your product or service in the future! Follow these three tips and you’ll be well on your way to having an ad campaign that pops, sizzles and stands out!
